¡Vamos!

The Twin Towers’ “all-too-short film career” is celebrated in Dan Meth’s commemorative collection of World Trade Center cinematic cameos.

Why must we only reflect on what happened 10 years ago? Why can’t we reflect on the more positive things, like all of the great cameos the Twin Towers brought to NY’s and Hollywood’s landscapes?

I don’t know about you, but though I remember every thing that happened that day, I try not to think about it, nor cloud my memory with sadness. Instead, I like to remember the towers as I saw them when I was 9.

I went to NY for Thanksgiving in 1998. My mom and I were able to be in the North Tower on the 104th floor and have lunch at Windows on the World. The views, the atmosphere and everything about those gorgeous giants were awe-inspiring. 

They will truly be missed, but please, on this day, let’s just remember the good things in life. 10 years ago, we became a stronger and a more united nation. Let that power continue to grow in the future.
