RIP Coche
We made it thru high school and college (and many trips over the mountains) together and I’m really sad about your passing, but honestly, it couldn’t have come at a better time. May Car Heaven (and Never Forgotten Fund) welcome you with open doors.
Just a few more things to get before I start packing!
Denver in 1 week.
DC in 8 days.
Nicaragua in 10.

silhouette0nthestreets asked: I just want to wish you all the luck in the world on your trip to Nicaragua. I'm going there on the 6th for 2 weeks on a community service project. I'm excited and nervous and cannot wait for what I could imagine is an experience of a life time. I couldn't even imagine going for as long as you'll be there. But I know you'll probably have an amazing time. I can't wait...

Got my flight booked for Staging!
Since there weren’t any flights that got me to Arlington/DC at a reasonable time for the day of staging, they’re flying me out the day before AND paying for my hotel room. Sweet action.
All this is becoming real.
Whoa.

Moving Blogs...
Hey everyone,
I’m going to be using blogspot to track my Peace Corps Journey from here on out. I’m not going to be deleting this for a while, if at all. I want to keep up with everyone else’s journeys (both current and future) on here as well as BlogSpot (or Blogger, whatever its name). I think that since the majority of PCVs use BlogSpottEr (see what I did there?) it’ll...

Peace Corps' annual budget for 8,700 volunteers... →
katiehiebert:
I can’t believe people actually talk about getting rid of the Peace Corps, like it is such a burden on the American taxpayer.
The entire annual budget of the Peace Corps is less than the budget of the army marching band.
